Non-food packaging papers
The non-food sector covers a very broad spectrum of functional paper packaging - from retail packaging to industrial transport solutions, from animal feed packaging to antistatic protective packaging. The requirements for our barrier papers are correspondingly diverse: they range from transparent to scratch-resistant, from highly greaseproof to electrostatically dissipative.
Sustainable non-food packaging
Rising EPR costs for plastics and composites, the requirements of the European Packaging Ordinance (PPWR) and the purchasing decisions of environmentally conscious end consumers are convincing more and more manufacturers to switch to functional barrier papers for non-food packaging applications.
In terms of overall costs, recyclable papers are usually more attractive. When packaging non-food items, mechanical protection, transparency, scratch sensitivity or antistatic properties often also need to be taken into account.
