DELSCI and delfort - agility meets stability

Joint development of barrier papers
The specialty paper manufacturer delfort and DELSCI signed a contract in 2020 for exclusive collaboration in the development, industrialization and marketing of functional barrier papers for flexible packaging applications. Since its foundation, a portfolio of high-performance papers has already been created.

Challenges and opportunities
Collaboration between a young start-up and a traditional corporation in the development of a new business area is complex. Different corporate cultures, processes, resource allocation and communication methods pose challenges - but can also be mutually beneficial if the interfaces are managed efficiently and intelligently and cross-company teams work together as equals.
