Pilot plants instead of expensive production trials
In paper mills, product development usually takes place directly on an industrial paper machine, as part of an expensive production trial; unlike the plastics industry, there are no laboratory extruders. However, barrier papers can be developed using pilot-coating systems on existing papers. We have implemented such a prototype production process at our RPC.
Analog twins of the industrial plants
Our pilot coating systems, our coating kitchen and our winders are the little analog twins of delfort's industrial systems. Everything that is developed in the RPC at DELSCI can later be implemented on the delfort production systems without additional development loops. This saves a lot of costs and, above all, valuable development time.
Prototypes with practical relevance
As we can produce prototypes up to a roll width of 300 mm, these rolls can be run on many of our customers' packaging machines. This allows us to drastically reduce our product development time in packaging projects with customers.
